Ive never played any of the two but i would say WOW, solely because of the amount of users globally. It must be good for that much ppl to be signed up and paying a fortune monthly.

dancing cows ?....you need to see outlands with the 70+ elite bosses....
picture this WOW has over 30 bosses Bigger than silkroads biggest yetti or NIYA giants and 10 times harder than Lord Yarkan....you have level 70max players who have still not seen at least 10 main bosses yet and at least 30 elite mobs.....
Im level 32 already hmm already pass some silk grinders... just normal quests ( NO ENDLESS HOURS OF GRINDING )
I am not in the same green garment as everyone elselike silk ... 30 different level 70 wow players in one area 30 different looking people ..more customization

I dont know about private servers ...I'm on official Blizzard server...They are not Like Gaymax So I will give them my money (its worth every penny).

The thing that I love about SRO and made me want to even try it was the concept.
Sure it could have been a massive fairytale looking mmorpg with dancing animals and such.
However SRO is based off actual history of the Silk Road.... yep
There was actually and still is to this day a Silk Road. The whole triangular conflict system with traders, hunters, thieves actually existed.

Why you comparing SRO lvlin to WOW, clearly its diffrent and yeah SRO lvlin can be frustrating...but as tron sa SRO more real than WOW, which is what appeals to me. I only wish they had a MMORPG for mech games

as for the interface, options, choices...it really is rather simplified compaired to sro. I found it less challenging and you were less likely to make an error with your char. the games are just different....you can compare them but really....different themes, different story line.....its all about your personal preference (what your looking for in a game).

lol I would not say noobs play alliance...I was told that the game is too easy when your horde...so I want the challenge.....If Hordes are so good why is a guild of 57 level 70 horde with all epics keep trying to raid stormwind to kill the king but the npc's along with the Gangsta level 70 alliences keep stopping them at the entrance....
one day me and my guild will raid the horde city :=P

jumping in WoW is necessary, having played a hunter from 1-60 and 60-70 there is a skill that makes playing a hunter very exciting called the 'jump shot' im sure if u download a few hunter pvp videos u will see them jumping and turn to fire at their oppnent, it takes awhile to used to doing but it greats once u get it down
lvling and money making aside from what i hear about SRO (havent really checked out their site) it seems that its limited in endgame content which is what developers use hold subscribers
ok so i spend 3 months lvling to lvl 60,70,80 (wat ever the limt is for SRO), now what?
pre burning crusade theres so much to do at lvl60 in wow its not even funny at 70 u get to stalk players from the sky (loved one shotting ppl from roof tops) or u just log in and chat no raiding no ganking
i might try out SRO sumday but then again theres a new expansion WoW on the way so we will see

I dont play....haven't since last fall but thanks to u...I did look into it again
I think i left her at lvl 50 ish and she wasn't my only char (imagine that_ )
As for horde vs alliance...seriously....alliance has alot of the young noobs who are more interested in looking pretty and running their mouths than playing the game well (i had made alliance on garona per a friends request). Horde has people that actually help...
As for the horde storming the city....I could say the same of alliance....why cant they get past the front gates? Watched a few times when the tried and failed miserably..lol And if it were so easy to storm the major cities...the game wouldn't have the following it has today...cuz it would be super lame
