Default World of Warcraft vrs Silkroad Online

This thread is to look at the differnce between these 2 online games.....
This is all my opinion (since I currently play both games every day and have alot of knowledge on both)
lets first look at the basics

W.O.W $20us for the game and $15us per month .. Silkroad FREE download Free each month (Has Item Mall max at 50us a month to get Premium ticket 200exp Skill points ticket 200 SP Pet to take up items and other needed items to make the game more fun)

W.O.W 215 servers (with the option of moving your character to any server at anytime for a small fee) .. Silkroad 25 servers (you cannot move your character from the server you made him/her on)

    W.O.W 7 million players .. Silkroad 950 thousand

The average good silkroad player spends 30 us a month to buy silk so that they can level up fast with Gold ticket along with buying their pet to pick up items..

the game can be played without buying silk..but it makes no sence really..you will take at 3 hours a day 1.5 years to reach level 80 if you dont purchase silk and buy gold ticket ..leveling is fast from level 1-50 but from 50 - 80 withought ever spending real money is only for robots

W.O.W 15 us a month and you have the comfort of all the great experiences
The average time to max level 70 at 3hours a day is 3 months

Now both games have very good grafics But W.O.W has much better sound
W.O.W is a much bigger game than silkroad and pays more attention to detail for example In W.O.W you can swim , fly , talk , jump ....also to note the distance from silkroads first city Jangan to the last europe city Constantilope is like traveling from Northshire abby to Iron forge.. for those who dont know those names...its like the entire silkroad is as big as Kingston..and the entire W.O.W is like the entire Jamaiaca..Cuba..and Haiti much bigger..

Silkroad International ver. has 6 main bosses..Tiger Girl ..uruchi .. issy .. yarkan...cerebrus.. ivy...(bosses appear in random locations at random times)
W.O.W has over 60 bosses ..too many for me to name them all (bosses are all on map in their Dungeon or castle waiting for you..you dont have to hope to see the boss you just get a group of people and go look for them if your good enough Good Luck

Silkroad Job professions..Hunter (protect traders)..Traders .. carry goods from city to city .. thieves (try to rob hunters)
W.O.W job profession .. Herbalism, Mining, and Skinning. Crafting professions include Blacksmithing, Leatherworking, Tailoring, Alchemy, Engineering, Enchanting, Jewelcrafting

Silkroad selling items ..you have to make a stall and sit and watch and hope that some one buys from you... you can only set up stall while you are online and you cant do anything other than talk while in stall mode
W.O.W you do not make a stall...you put your items in an auction house..then leave and continue to do whatever you want to do while the entire server can go in and see what you have..you can even log out and turn off your computer and your items are still being sold..you get a message when items are sold ..

Silkroad alchemy system (has the ability to fail and upset players .. it also makes the company millions by selling AstraL and Immortal only purchased with real money
W.O.W alchemy system cannot fail .. just find the materrials needed and 100% success rate

there are hundreds of more reasons why W.O.W is the winner...but you get the point

feel free to add any opinion on both games...if you play wow...state your server

Well I for one would be playing WOW instead of Silkroad if it was free at the time. The main reason we all got into Silkroad Online in the first place is ofcourse at the time it was new, free, fun and ofcourse very addictive. The Koreans responsible for the marketing of Silkroad are pretty smart and somewhat of a crook, when you look at the matter closely.

Also, the game is free to log onto and play even if you don't have the item mall stuff, so if you find that you can't afford silk for a month or so you can still login and talk to friends, job, etc. So I guess those are the few advantages of it and I think the graphics are better than WOW. Don't really know if this is true as I only heard about this.

Anyways, if I do decide to really pay to play another MMO it would definitely be Final Fantasy 11.

Come on Norganon server choose human race....dont worry you have a 10 day free trial version ..takes long to download if dont have fast internet...you will be able to go all the way to level 20 but not higher..you just wont be able to buy or sell at auction house have more than 10 gold which is like 500k in silkroad and some other limitations...buying the game for 20us gives you 1 month free automatically.....60 day cards sell at new egg.com

only reason why i'm not playing WoW is because of the monthly fee's. I have used the 10 day trial and i have played on private server(which wasnt very stable) but game wise WoW does look better than silk to me and it is a little more fun considering the size of the maps causes you to be alone alot. unless you actually meet up with friends.
I say its more fun because tho i was grinding on my own i still found the game interesting, and to tell you the truth Ropy was the one that told me about SRO but by the time i decided to try it out he wasnt playing much, and by the time i was 20+ it was starting to get a little boring then by chance i saw "ObeahMan" name talking in a crowd then i whispered him and asked him if he was jamaican(which another country would use a name like that ) and because i came into j4mrock i decide to continue playing. so mainly is only cause yaadman in SRO why i'm really still playing after all thats the reall reason for MMO's

so if you guys willing to try out WoW(on a private server) let me know. i still have it installed to my system so i rdy.o

in general i enjoyed WOW, I did leave it for SRO tho.... I was on the paying servers...Undermine/horde and in a great guild with some friends (who unfortunately sleep more than i...)

@wish makes some great points about the +s of wow....the auction house is one...

@taki....i agree...part of the downside was just how vast the game was...u could go to many areas and not see another live player. the quest however, were much more interesting...

cant say how the private servers are but the blizzard servers were pretty decent...
