Excuse me everybody for any error. I´m a Cuban and I want to buy hardwear in Jamaica but I don´t know the prices. I search in www.Tigerdirect.com and saw good prices. but I don´t know if in jamaica hardwear shops have similar prices. I need some help by yours and excuseme my english.

Jamaican stores WILL NOT have similar prices.
Local stores such as Royal Computers (check Directory) will have acceptable prices.
You can also check in the Classified Section of this website for items for sale.

Its always better to buy directly from these online stores and have them ship it to you. Jamaican stores are always more expensive to buy from. Although I think your between a rock and hard place because there are laws in the USA that prevent their merchants from shipping goods (usually hardware and encryption software) to Cuba. Hell not even tourist are allowed to visit.

cuba cant trade directly with america people and they worse on getting credit cards etc and normally people who want to become doctors in jamaica go to cuba


anyways jamaica has a higher price than you see on tiger direct but its cheaper than what they have in cuba hope this helps you

I’m in Cuba. But I have a relative in Jamaica right now. I need know the prices to tell him what I can buy.

For Example, I want buy.

1. A Motherboard Socket 775/ PCI Express / Serial ATA connectors / 2 MB of RAM capacity or more / whit Processor Dual Core class D.
Between 140.00 and 160.00 USD

2. Monitor LCD Flat screen 19”
Between 130.00 and 150.00 USD

3. Hard Drive Serial ATA with capacity between 150 and 250 GB
Between 50.00 and 60.00 USD

4. Video Card / Gforce / 512 MB / PCI Express / TV Out
Between 35.00 and 45.00 USD


I need know if I can get these accessories for these prices in Jamaica stores.

If I can’t get it for these prices, please tell me what the shipper price of each one is.

And in why store I can buy it.

This is the only way to make mi PC I self, here.
I’ll appreciate very much their help.

1. Mobo - Yes, you can get a board within that price range locally
2. 19" LCD - VERY VERY unlikely
3. Hard Drive - probable, would have to search a little harder
4. Video Card - NO
