Default University College of the Caribbean (UCC) gets accreditation

The University College of the Caribbean (UCC) is now formally registered and recognised by the University Council of Jamaica (UCJ), the official accreditation body for higher education in Jamaica, and has made history as the first university college in the region to receive this status.

Having met the operating standards required for the conduct of quality tertiary education in Jamaica, UCC received institu-tional registration status from the UCJ to develop, deliver and award programmes in business and related areas.

This school is located in many locations but I think they have three Kingston offices (Worthington ave - formerly IMP, Old Hope Road formerly IMS and another one located on Oxford Terrace [i believe this is the name of the road] plus I think they also have an administrative office also on Worthington Ave )

Accreditation is actually a two fold process, accrediting the school means that they have the facilities in place to deliver a certain level of comfort to staff and students. The next stage is course content, which will take sometime. Only the associate in business studies and business admin are accredited and this was b4 IMP and IMS joined.

Quite so.. Also the MBAprogamme offererd is accredited as a programme from an overseas institution (FIU). That said UCC doing their thing, I get a feel though that the Master level programmes are better run than the Bachelor's Degrees.

The masters are for the most part run by the overseas universities (FIU/UOL). UCC just provides the space for the classes to be held.

Yeah....but remember to check if the courses that you are doing is Accredited. Not all programs offered by institutions are accredited.
Free Thinkers are those who are willing to use their minds without fearing to understand things that clash with their own customs, beliefs for privileges. This state of mind is not common, but it is essential for right thinking; where it is absent, discussion is apt to become worse than useless.
