well as for me i dont seek to jump on a "linux is better" or "windows is better" i see where both OS's have their benifits and strong point and as JAMROCK teaches, making them work to gether. i am learning linux to make mi more rounded which will be a major assest in this age where IT compitition is so tight. i must say i have leearnt alot so far and what linux is really capable of.

Did you mean Linux over Windows or it stands as is?

Anyway, Linux is what you deal with in your job so naturally it is a part of your psyche, just like how some people start to look like their pets being around them so long lol. Share some of the business related advantages based on your own opinion and experience please.

linux as totally optimized my company and cut production, advertising and licensing (where all our money was wasted buying license from minisoft) cost.
Optimize my workflow, ease administration, offer more security and more security. Easy upgrade and easy integration. Most of my servers use red hat linux (i am currently testing ubuntu server at home). We implemented ubuntu linux in some departments of the company and employees are loving. Main plus they say, faster backups and better performance. I depend on linux to distribute project critical data around the company.

Our database is handled by opensource software, which offers superior quality and throughput for us.

I love linux and i gonna take that back. Just because something as a price tag doesn't mean it's better

Everyone as there choices, my choice is always linux

LOL. All my teeth hurt me. I did a quick search on how to access Wifi on Linux, man the amount of things I have to go through to set up a simple wireless network not worth it. Windows, pop in my card, configure the security features and me gone clear.

I don't even need to show how to install the same drivers on Windows.

But I agree, installing and modifying makes Windows look like you're doing nothing.
