After doing some browsing online, I decided to check out di real item down deh (Watts New). A jus let out a little chuckle and glad seh mi nuh haffi shop down yah fi anything too expensive i.e sony camera and laptop.

Yet me add my two cents to this discussion:

The thread starter started off by saying the following:

Price of PS3: 75,000
Price of XBOX 360: 35,000 and 17k - 25k for HD-DVD component.

Now let us do the maths:

PS3 (which already has built in blu-ray player): 75,000
X360 + HD-DVD component (using 20k as the price): 55,000

then if we go deeper:

PS3 comes with built in wi-fi so price remains: 75,000
X360 + HD-DVD+Wi-Fi (using price seen on internet for adapter [99USD]: 55,000 + 6800: 61,800

then if we go deeper:
XBOX 360 controllers uses batteries but a separate play and charge kit can be purchased while PS3 controllers are rechargeable using usb cable:

PS3: 75,000
X360 + HD-DVD+Wi-Fi+Play and Charge Kit (15USD):61800 + 1020=62820

Plus PS3 comes with 3 * the storage space of the X360 premium

If you look at things from this perspective, the XBOX 360 is not all that cheaper than the PS3, just that PS3 bundles all this in the retail price of the console itself not giving consumers much choice, because some persons may just want the PS3 for gaming and dont care that it is a blu-ray player or has built in wi-fi but for those who care about these things, in my opinion the PS3 is a much better buy.
