    Default L33T points Quizaway....

Some people here lost tons of L33t recently, and some continue to lose some on a daily basis...

    Never fear...Nester-san is here:

    50 L33t Point giveaway:

During maintainance you reboot a Windows 2000 server (Connected to Internet).

It takes a remarkably long time to get to desktop after you login, literally 10 minutes of looking at wallpaper with no icons.

Well, what i wanted to was have a limit, say a day, then go on to next step in problem.

So after a day, I go on to right answer and next problem encountered

That happens at UWI.... but it's usually due to low space.... hence low Page File. It is usually fixed by freeing up space.

Let me expose my N00biness. I chose ignore. Wait till it comes up then check event log for errors. I think when it takes that long to load after logging in, there may be a problem with the user profile of the person logged in. I'd probably then logout and log back in to see if the behaviour is consistent, then logout and try logging in with another account and see if the same behaviour exists with that one.

Every user, same delay, this is a Domain Controller running SP4 and Symantec Corporate Edition current. Connected to Internet Via Firewall. Event logs have no issues. Server performs it's Job ( SAN/NAS ) with no problems.

Reboot was for maintainance (adding even more storage). Server was made Domain controller simply cause it would be foolish to have only one.
