there is institutionalised piracy. Because once you have a photocopy machine. you are essentially going to violate copyright. because once you copy more than one page without the authors permission, you are engaging in piracy.
I think most people use a photocopier without even blinking as to whether to contact the author of the work.

actually it is justification, Nester. a crime is only a crime up to the point where it is punishable by law in practical terms. in absolute terms, a crime is a crime until it is amended or rescinded on the books. (also, the law is not a shackle)
so if i commit a murder and my community turns me in, i go to jail. if my community catches me doing wrong, becomes a mob and kills me, who dem gonna arrest for my murder? who going to prosecute the mob?

Piracy is against the law, but comparing it to stealing an actual item is actually ridiculous. Reason being, you stealing the actual item leaves the owner without his property....
Not that this is justification for the act, but I just think the comparison is a bit off.

from the time u start using computers till now u neva use teffin software or download a album not likkl pron,as far im concerned that still count as piracy
yea me know me a teef, nuff a fren dem tell me but at the same time dem ask afi a copy couple days after me dl watever so dem just as bad
look at it this way, when the need arises for a person to walk the straight and narrow they will, i played bootleg warcraft 3 for years then decided to buy it so i could play online, pretty soon ill buy counter strike and unreal for online play, heck i might even buy windows will at it
