    Default CDROM.SYS Keeps Going Missing

My DVD rom drive keeps going missing. I i do a fresh install of install Windows Vista and then try to rip a cd and windows media player tells me "A cd rom drive needs to be installed" then wen i check My Computer the drive is missing.
So i do a fresh install again.... only this time i do it with a different Vista cd and the same thing happens.
The drive is always there after windows setup has finished but after i rip a few cds it goes missing. Its detected at the post screen but not listed in Disk Management

Only things i install after Windows setup is a printer, webcam, and AVG8.

DI MAN DEM HELP MI OUT NUH.... DU MI A BEG UNU!!!!!?
