    Default ElevateDB

Does Anyone here use ElavateDB, the new database engine from Elevate Software?

Did a quick look in the middle of last week. Why not try interbase? Support for that is very good.

interbase/firebird seems ok .... my only drawback is the way in which i would have to work with stored procedures.

infact i was contemplating moving my app from MSSQL to firebird, but ease of working with mssql stored procedures is just not there.(need to spend more time with firebird anyway)

It was just officially released a few weeks ago but some coders had the beta from before. I really use DBSIAM from Elevate Software but ElevateDB is the next big thing from the same company. This was the best BDE replacement available when I went searching. Nexus, Advantage, Absolute, Firebird, Interbase, CodeBase, etc where considered.

I dont use much store proc in my apps (downloadable from http://mikotech.xoompages.com/ ) but you can see how EVDB handles it here http://www.elevatesoft.com/edb_prodinfo.htm.

Very impressive feature set. It's almost like an enterprise level DBMS. I use stored procs, triggers and views alot. I also like the in-memory feature, which would help clients run in 'disconnected' mode.

Years ago I used DBISAM from Elevate Software. I really liked DBISAM but because I needed client-server technology i switched to Advantage Database (ADS). In my opinion, anything Elevate Software puts out should be great.
    I recommend Ubuntu

Roby G please add to this list of good delphi components:

    DBISAM
    ElevateDB
    FastReport
    FastScripts
    LMD Tools

Also what component you use for Distribution and Licence management.
