    By attending any CISCO academy you'll get a discount on the certification exam and real world hands on experience. When I did my exam I paid about $35USD +- $1 as opposed to paying $150USD.

    Here are the CISCO academies that are located in Jamaica;

    Stony Hill HEART Academy - Stony Hill [6B Oxford Road, Kingston]
    Vector Technology Institute - Vector [35A Eastwood Park Road, Kingston]
    Caribbean Institute of Technology - CIT [1-3 Pimento Way, Montego Bay]
    Vocational Training Development Institute - VTDI [Gordon Town Road, Kingston]

    Well I think all u have to do is study from one of the books, make use of the practice material, then sign up for the exam and go do it once you think u r fully prepared. I am not totally sure, but i think you schedule the best date for you to do the exam with the organization, according to some info I got from one of the books. You can check out the "CCNA for Dummies" book. I think that should help as I'm interested in doing CCNA and was checking it out. Someone that has already done CCNA should be able to shed some more light on this topic though...

    you can, you will need a good Cisco simulator...a good one that actually uses the Cisco software itself (IOS) is Dynamips
    here are a few tuts on how to setup, there are a few flash tuts on the net someware, ill have to look for them.

    Cisco press books will give you all info you need and more. If you just want know enough to pass the new exam, shout me and I tell you where to get the new curriculum.

    As for the labs... Since you are new to the Cisco world I wouldn't recommend that you use emulator\simulators. It's best that you purchase a CCNA\CCNP Lab Kit off ebay. These cost roughly the same or little less than what you'd pay for the CCNA course at an academy. Again, if you need help gimmie a shout and I'll recommend a kit. It really makes no sense for you to get the cert and can't physically setup\troubleshoot the actual device.

    What really helped me was LearnKey and CBT Nuggets. The results remain to be seen.
