    Default All-In-One IM Client

Look at this IM client. It's called Trillian. I saw a co-worker using it. It looks pretty powerful. Comes in two flavours, free and paid (USD25). The paid version has expansions by the use of plugins. What do you guys think?

I'm familiar with trillian, but because I only use Windows occasionally I use gaim (http://gaim.sourceforge.net/) and everybuddy (http://www.everybuddy.com/en/index.php) instead

I've used Trillian... it's pretty cool 8) Especially if you have cyberfriends who insist on staying with their respective messengers. > I've gone back to MSN messenger in particular tho - mostly because of the mobile-paging option. I was looking at the paid version and I think I'd consider switching permantly... but... well...

Trillian is a nice tool... I have been using if for a few months now... ever since discovering it I have not gone back to using the individual IMs at all!!!
Gone is the clutter of IMs all over my screen!

I started using trillian about 3 years ago. It is a good IM, combines msn, yahoo and the lot, but when it comes to sharing be careful.

*You don't want be messing around IRC with it. *

The guys who use softwares like Invision 2.0 and even MIRC will invade you machine or worse yet use the open ports that Trillian provides to drop off worms and trojans on your machine.

Secondly, ICQ users will be able to note your IP address whenever you log on.

I guess all programs have their ups and their downs
