I see it simply as a screening process. HR gets hundreds of applications on a monthly basis, maybe even on a daily basis if you are google. how better to reduce the amount of applicants than to ask for ridiculous requirements. By taking this route, HR also benefits, not only in that they will have less "garbage" to go through but they will most likely get most qualified applicants.
Mi personally nuh care still. mi will send in mi garbage and si wah can gwaan fi mi cuz this job looking thing is like lotto. You kyaan win unless you buy a ticket (send a resume) and if u do win, is by luck (especially since so many qualified people are out there)
