Does anyone Know aught about using a C-band dish for Internet reception in Jamaica?

I am told that C-band dishes can be used to receive internet and this is not affected by overcast conditions or rain. I live in the deep south of Manchester where I am surrounded by antennae(C&W and Digicel) but none of these guys are working with us.GPRS is really crappy. I naw use it ever again (even if it free) If C-band internet is available in Ja please tell me who provides the service. I use internet cafe now.
