Default The New Sony Ericsson T230/T226 GPRS...

Sony Ericsson T230[Digicel]/T226[C&W] GPRS -> PC Internet

Has anyone ever tried any of these phones so far?
I know the T230 has a built in modem..not too sure about the T226.

Also has anyone successfully connected with and CW phone? If so what are the settings?

provided that you have already got the drivers for the phone and installed it as a usb, or ext.. modem.. go to the properties of the SET230/T226 modem and click on the advanced tab then place this modem initialization string:

    +CGDCONT=3,"IP","INTERNET",,0,0

you need ot find out what is the connection number for thephone but apparrently all of em is either:

*99# or *99***1# the 1 representS the cont id context id for the phone i think.

but ne way that should work..

Are you sure that that init. string works death_knight? ???

The Following Information found below was given to me by someone who's actually using it (acidblade):

    Init. String: +CGDCONT=1,"IP","internet"

    Dial Up Number: *99#

    Digicel SE T230 - $3700
    CW SE T226 - $3500

They look cool...the T230 is somewhat better since it has more features than the T226.

positive that it works man.. After thinking for a while i realised that all the softwares , example the motorola mobile phone tools", did, is convert the Apn into a modem string and dial wit hte number u give it, when i checked the modem dialog from the mpt using a cable and wirless motorola c332, thats the string i saw; tested and proven also
