I went online to downgrade my adsl package to 256 from 512 and that option isn't there. Am I missing something here. Can't get through to Customer care. No surprises there. Here's my options.

I'm pretty sure all options were available to you in the past. If it is not some programming glitch (sorry, had to be said ) then they are taking a play from the old AOL hand book; make it difficult but not impossible to downgrade beyond a certain point. Just inconvenient enough that you have to think twice about it.

AOL used to do the same rubbish when it came to cancelling their service. There was no place on-line to do it and they made you sit and wait around on the phone only on to face a barrage of questions when the customer service rep finally came on the line. The goal, of course, was to do anything to keep you there. It was a total head game.

In fact, this would support something I saw the other day. Anybody notice that you can only sign up for certain plans on-line now? I was helping out someone a few days ago and the month-to-month plans were not listed anywhere in the on-line sign-up. When we called in the sales agent automatically tried to do the one year sign-up and it wasn't until I intervened that the other options were mentioned. I know technically there is nothing wrong with this practice but it sure feels underhanded when you are going through it.

well they don't offer 128 anymore it was changed to 256 the lowest.....cho me ago switch to infochan, they charge 30us a month for 512 and i'm paying 45u.s a month for 256 "off-contract" with CW me just a keep it till the month done.

when i was signing up i had to change my order because, they automatically assumed i wanted the 1yr contract she didn't even ask what i wanted, and me order the self installation kit and a technitian install it, dem better nuh put the charge on my bill or else a war.
