way less than that, what them believe this thing is, easy and accessible like a cell phone
It must be Jamaican's worldwide..Internet usage, broadband and telecommunications reports for Jamaica
Internet Usage Statistics:
1,067,000 Internet users as of December, 2005;
24.7% of the population, according to ITU
Vision without Mission is Daydreaming!
Internet usage shouldn't be confused with connections per se. Half the population could have connected or do use the internet in some of way. Kingston, St. Andrew and St. Catherine account for more than 1/2 the islands population. Factor in St. Ann, St. James and other growing parsihes, you could have 1 million users. So the numbers may be in the ball park.
Well I dont have an exact figure but I remember when their was a recent study done on the internet market when Flow started to run their Fibre and they said that internet penetration was 5% of all household in Jamaica. So even if you take 5% of our population its still less than 1 mil. I was looking for the study but can't seem to find it.
i love how their statisticians are so accurate.....

If the population of our country is not even 3 million, how in the world does 24.7% of that equal 1.067 million
well one way or the other they have a quality source: International Telecommunication Union, so either they are all wrong or there is some truth to the report.
