Post DOCSIS 3.0 enables 160 Mbps down, 120 up

Everything you can do, I can do better: CableLabs, the research arm of the cable industry, officially issued Data-Over-Cable Service Interface Specifications (DOCSIS) 3.0, which claims downstream data rates of 160 Mbps or higher and upstream data rates of 120 Mbps or higher over coaxial. The spec achieves these speeds by using channel bonding for both the upstream and downstream directions. Of course, DOCSIS 3.0 also integrates support for IPv6. Some vendors got to review the spec under NDA earlier this year and last month CableLabs hosted a week long interoperability event to bring together the vendors to develop DOCSIS 3.0 products. The interop event included ARRIS, BigBand Networks, Broadcom, Casa Systems, Conexant Systems, Filtronic Signal Solutions, NETGEAR, Scientific Atlanta a Cisco company, Cisco Linksys, and Cisco Systems.

I wonder if Flow & the other Cable Operators will do the upgrade to DOSSIS 3 like how it available now .

even if they do make the switch can u imagine wat it might cost to the individual, it would make more sense to offer it it commecial/large residencial areas (like bogue villiage, portmore, etc) and let the cost of it be shared cuz 160 is a whole lot, but i can only imagine wat to do with that i would be buying HD's every couple of weeks its insane

The Cable Operators & Flow can still implement DOCSIS 3 on their network. Now to the matter of residential people using such speed is a different matter but SMB (Small Business Owners) can definitely use these speed without having to go FTTP, it's jus that they won't have a Guarentee QOS but a Best Effort QOS.
