    First thing i said was it works with your dyna(mic) ip. As for more quickly, I'm not so sure about. Just makes the modem forward packets through the port you specify. Don't think there is any increase really in speed but if there is it should be marginal.

    does forwarding a port cause any slow downs of any kind cuz i notice a drop in browsing speed im wondering if cwj messing up or if its a result of the forwarding

    You are trying to NAT a port to your machine. You just need to make sure your machine has a private IP address that is either manually configured or the DHCP will issue that IP to the machine no matter what, that's call IP reservation. You can't get a static external IP address from CWJ as an ADSL customer.

    So what you do is this get a dynamic IP service like dynip or no-ip. Which will register a name like myserver.no-ip.org which will update based on the external IP address you are issued by your provider. Hope you understand that.

    Now setup your NAT to point to the machine, remember external IP addresses are to be refered to as 0.0.0.0 that means it is dynamic, if you specify the IP address you currently have what will happen is that when it changes and it will you will still be NATted to that old IP.

    well to be honest im tryin to use shoutcast so i can setup a little radio broadcast service for my friends that dont live in JA and i putting in the ip addy and the port that i forwarded and it wont connect im wondering if i do anything wrong
