what is the solution to jamaica's crime?

where do i begin? today i read the headlines ... 3 year shot in the head with an ak-47 in a driveby shooting ... yesterday's headlines - tourist chopped and seriously injured as resort in Negril is robbed.

On Wheels Jamaica's message board people a bawl bout car get tief, watch out for carjackings etc. Check the entertainment news, Kartel and Ninja were in court today and had their bail extended following that whole ridiculous madness at sting.

WHAT NEXT. how do we tackle the problem head-on or side-on or whatever, to try and at least reduce it. culture and mindset needs to be changed? well that would take at least a generation. what do we do for right now? hang the murderers? would cleaning out deathrow by hanging them all really strike enough fear in those potential murderers, to make them not ever want to kill and suffer the same fate? find jobs for the unemployed? hmmm .. see previous statement about 'culture' .... this bling bling culture has caused many to not want to work 9-5 for the little pay and build on that. everyman want to be rich and drive prado overnight. better education .. hmmm .. tru .. but again, this might take a generation or so to take effect. but maybe the govt. should start thinking seriously bout it though, especially since teachers are so lowly paid but yet have such a critical role in defining leaders and success stories. censor dancehall music .. yuh mad???? see previous statement about 'culture' .. deejays might talk bout them gun or whatever but even before you start get influenced by dancehall music, culture is telling you fi act certain ways in certain situation. man ah bad man. yawd man ting dis. we run tings. .. etc. etc. LOL

We in and of ourselves cannot fix what is wrong.
Only God is capable of that.
Until He returns, we need to start living the kinds of lives that He intended us to live.
Just imagine if everybody on the planet did that. There would be no more crime.
