Default Changes to posting in the Classifieds Section (updated - May 1, 2008)

Effective May 11th, 2006, there will be changes to posting abilities in the classifieds section. The changes will be as follows.

Threads started in the classifeds section will be restricted to the initial thread only. This means that there will be no additional posts in the Classifieds threads. Thread-starters will have the ability to edit their thread at a later time in the event of price changes or additional info to be added.

Thread-starters are therefore remind that the onus is on them to be comprehensive in their thread and include adequate details and contact info. As per the rules, Classifieds threads without necessary info such as prices and contact info may be removed without notice. Thread-starters should also be reminded that creating more than one thread for the same item(s) is still a contravention of the rules and strong action will be taken against offenders without notice.

These changes are required at this time to restore some order to the Classifeds Section and eliminate several ongoing problematic issues.

Thanks for your co-operation and understanding.

    Default

Effective May 1, 2008, there will be changes to posting abilities in the classifieds section. In addition to the previously instituted rules, the new requirements are as follows.

Members must have a post count of at least 150 posts AND have been registered for at least 30 days before they are able to post in the Classifieds section.

This change is required to reduce the numerous instances of unscrupulous classified postings and to eliminate the occurrences of persons registering solely for the purpose of posting classified ads. This measure will also seek to reward active members who contribute to the community's content.
