I think they make computers duty free bcuz they are considered educational items. A Pda on the other hand would be more of a luxury item hence the hefty duty, and they do ave2 protect the phone distributors ere by tryin2 discourage us 4rm importing. Although a fren of mine got a htc through the post office and paid 3500.
