What the ...? LOTRTROTK is playing at Multiplex (yes!!!) from 10:00pm (huhhh??). Are they crazy? It's a 3 & 1/2 hr movie! Add to that approx 1/2hr opening ads and another approx 1/2hr intermission. At the least 4hrs up to a possible 4 & 1/2 hrs!! I don't fancy going to a movie to come back home at 2:30am and then have to go to work the same day!

Intermission is usually 5-10 minutes. Not 30. The movie opens officially on December 31.

For a long movie, intermission is usually a bit longer. Even if the the pre-movie ads were 15minutes (yeah, sure!) and 15minutes intermission, that's still 4 hours. Not to mention another 1/2hr leeway to leave the building, find your car and reach home.

Why would they want to start it at 10:00pm? They could easily start it at 9:00, just like the other two movies, I'm sure.
