Default How do I turn off lights on "CPU"

Is there a way to turn off the lights on the computer, without actually turning off the computer power itself. I want the computer to stay on, but the light's that flashes on it, I want them to stay off. I tried everything but nothing seems to work. Any suggessions? I ONLY WANT TO TURN OFF THE LIGHTS

Use electrical or duct tape to cover the bulbs.

What lights? The hard drive activity LED and Power LED? Disconnect them from the motherboard if it is those that you are talking about.

i agree with raw soul. just make sure u plug out the ones that marks led and not the actual button. if u don't wanna open up the case, the good ole' duct tape might do the trick.

I concur with Ramesh, somehow I would not want to recommend opening the PC

What are some of the things you tried. The obvious way as Ramesh suggested is to cover with tape, but if you don't what it to look obvious and it is that much of an issue to you, why not build a switch to turn them on and off at a whim. Bring out the ingenuity.

Lol, seems like someone is trying to hide that the PC is on when it shouldn't be on from a parent maybe! I hope its silent enough.

Too bad there isn't an option in the BIOS to do this.
