    Good question maddocta. I have heard anything recently about speed-net. Last I heard was that they're not offering through Entertainment Systems again. Does anyone have an update?

    Hmmm.... this from SpeedNet's site:

    With our standard @Link Home package, you get:

    * 2 E-Mail accounts
    * 25 MB per E-Mail account
    * 25 MB Web/FTP storage space
    * @Link transmission speeds up to 10 Mbps
    * Free and automatic Cable Modem upgrades
    * Free @Link-aware Internet Utility softwares
    * Internet uplink speeds burstable to 256 Kbps
    * Internet downlink speeds burstable to 512 Kbps

    One Time Installation:    US$300
    Monthly charge w/Single machine/device:    US$75
    Monthly charge w/Multiple machines/Devices:    US$110
    (The @Link package supports a maximum of up to 5 devices)

    75 x 60 = 4500

    I dunno, I need to here some feedback from customers first. You know, like the average speed downloading a 5MB file. Ping rate playing CStrike or similar game online.

    I know that here in Mobay Omni is currently wiring the "new" housing scheme by Bouge, with intention of offering cable internet services. I don't live that far away ;D

    I think the latency should be similar to or ever less than what you would get with ADSL. The Speed would vary as Internet via cable varies depending on the network load.

    Other side of town for me. Might have to check Cornwall Cable

    Not a good sign. Another bad sign: their pages are incomplete, graphics are missing and they have 2002 dates all over the place. Not only that, there is no mention (that I could find) of service areas.

    Hey Matronyx, can't you see the subtle hints about Speed-Net? I mean, their website appears to be outdated so does it really make sense looking at their packages on the site ???
