Allied Cablevision promises to intro their cable service at the start of December.
Good question maddocta. I have heard anything recently about speed-net. Last I heard was that they're not offering through Entertainment Systems again. Does anyone have an update?
i called entertainment systems and the lady who answered had no idea what i was talking about, she said to me, we don't not offer internet services here, I also called OMNI called and their phone was disconnected
Hmmm.... this from SpeedNet's site:

I dunno, I need to here some feedback from customers first. You know, like the average speed downloading a 5MB file. Ping rate playing CStrike or similar game online.
I know that here in Mobay Omni is currently wiring the "new" housing scheme by Bouge, with intention of offering cable internet services. I don't live that far away ;D
I think the latency should be similar to or ever less than what you would get with ADSL. The Speed would vary as Internet via cable varies depending on the network load.
Other side of town for me. Might have to check Cornwall CableI know that here in Mobay Omni is currently wiring the "new" housing scheme by Bouge, with intention of offering cable internet services. I don't live that far away
Not a good sign. Another bad sign: their pages are incomplete, graphics are missing and they have 2002 dates all over the place. Not only that, there is no mention (that I could find) of service areas.i called entertainment systems and the lady who answered had no idea what i was talking about, she said to me, we don't not offer internet services here, I also called OMNI called and their phone was disconnected
Hey Matronyx, can't you see the subtle hints about Speed-Net? I mean, their website appears to be outdated so does it really make sense looking at their packages on the site ???
is it possible to have reliable broadband connection in mobay? who is more reliable, cornwall or omni?
Allies can't even provide good cable tv, hope their internet will be less sucky
