2004 EASports Games
The 2004 editions of the EA Sports games are out now - FIFA 2004, NBA Live 2004, NHL 2004
Has anybody played any of them yet? Are they worth picking up this year?

I think I too will be giving in to the addiction that is FIFA.
We should have a "World Cup" or a "NBA Playoff" one of these days.

Re:2004 EASports Games
I think so 2. Fifa 2003 was very different than previous versions. Very different than any soccer game to date. They did summen no soccer game did. It was a feature that caused the game to be so close to reality its almost scary. When playing 2003 u cant just run wildly and the ball sticks to ur feet, u have to control the ball. It was hard at first but u would get the hang of it eventually. i cant wait to play 2004. I have mastered all Fifa games, from way back, back in the fifa 97 days on super nes. I have been a fifa lover ever since. In fifa 97 i could score anytime i wanted. There was a flaw in that game. but in the nowadays versions it very difficult to score, u will get used to winning 1-0.

I can't imagine them be any different from the previous versions. Except NBA live has the alternate shot thing.

Re:2004 EASports Games
Has anyone played Konami's Pro Evolution Soccer 3? How does it match up against FiFA 2004? I've read on the web where people claim the PES is the best football series and that the only thing EA has over them is the licencing from FIFA.
Any feedback on that?

Well to get a good experience, licensing is key. who wants to play with fake characters. I will check out that other game u spoke about.

Fifa 2004 is just an improvement on 2003. I still cant get used to the changes in the Keys Still passing when I showed be sprinting. I stopped playing 2003 after a few days, But will be more determined to get the new key assignment to play 2004.
Oh, Its very realistic.
A fifa fan from 97

Re:2004 EASports Games
I've been reading some review on both FIFA2004 and Pro Evolution Soccer 3. The majority of review put PES3 as the better football game, with FIFA 2004 taking the lead in only presentation and number of licenced teams and players. I've been a FIFA fan since FIFA International Soccer, but it may be time for a change now... Check out the reviews:
