    Default is there a way to get a tree view of a directory

    as opposed to doing 'ls' which only shows a list of files in directory, is there a way to see an entire directory structer, that is all the files and sub directories, and the contents of the sub directories ad infinitum?

    you mean besides "ls -R"?
