    Default Virus Masquerades as MSN Messenger Beta

    MSN Messenger users who may think they're getting a sneak peak at the latest version of Microsoft's instant messaging client are in for a nasty surprise, a Finnish security firm is warning.

    A variation of the Virkel instant messaging virus has been circulating amongst MSN users, posing as a leaked beta version of MSN Messenger 8, according to F-Secure.

    Thanks for the warning, but it came too late. Due to the fact that my cousin had previously dowloaded a similar file online. I'll get the details and get back to you.

    Why oh why do people download and use beta versions? Do we get paid to report bugs to software vendors?
    The fox was probably right - they could have been sour grapes.

    When we tell them the bugs...it would mean better software for us to use . and alotta ppl try the BETA because they are eager to see what the next version would be like, they get a preview.
