Forgot My Windows Login Password!

ok my cousin just forgot his password to the windows login is there anything he can do to retrieve it or he has to do a clean install.......

Goto safe mode and login as Administrator and then follow this path:-

Start>Control Panel>User Accounts...
Click on your username and change Password:- Give a new password. It will not ask you for the old one. It will work.......... Believe me.

i remember there was sumn named "ultimate boot CD" one can reset the password on an ntfs volume if need be...


dunno how legal/ethical that is...or how to find it..

There is program called ERD commander that boots like a setup disk without installing anything on your hard drive. It has a locksmith that can be used to change the any local password on the machine without prompting you for the old password. nice utility to have espicially for those techies who people just love to call when they want there machines fixed and dont have no money

erd commander will work but how him a get that done? taliban yuh near him right? or a bartpe disc will work. either way he needs access to another pc to make the disc.
