simply because its summen that is free, and basically anything u would want but would normally pay for it is available via kazaa. It gives users acccess to data that is otherwise impossible to get elsewhere.

Just like how the internet was revolutionary, Kazaa is just a revolutionary tool(File sharing) for the internet itself.

Do y'all notice that no one's making destructive virii anymore, it's mostly trojans? There are three reasons for this:

    1) Windows HAL - The hardware abstration layer gives only the opertating system exclusive access to hardware and kernel resources. That means no other program can access them. That includes virii.

    2) Too Many Platforms - Virii that work under DOS won't work under Linux, or vice versa. So what they have started to do is to write virii that are multiplatform. However, multiplatform DevKits don't allow hardware access either. So that reduces virii payload to surface level software (like e-mail, internet, etc.)

    3) Data Mining / Aggressive Marketing - Since practically all virii are limited to surface level attacks, they've become largely useful for mostly data mining purposes (farming e-mail, checkout your websites etc.) for spamming you silly, or simply for providing remote control for hackers.

That's why we've been having so many Worms and Trojans of late and they all seem to do the same things. The true virii exploit vulnerabilities. But it would appear as though MS is scoping for these vulnerabilities long before people can exploit them. Most of the windows updates so far are for security patches. They patch vulnerabilities which, for the most part, no one has made a worm to exploit just yet. Good job on their part. They're actually trying to pro-actively break their own system!
