    Default job-questions

    Hi there,

my name is Peter, I'm living in Germany and got the great idea to work in Jamaica. :-)
    Some questions raise:
Is it easy to get an appartment?
What are the average cost of an appartment?
What are the average costs of a car used older one ;-) ?
Are there Volkswagen Vanagons available (I'm a fan of them)?
Are there private internetconnections DSL, Cable available?
    How are the PC-Prices? ;-)

Well, actual I'm working as TechSupport-Consultant for a Software House that sells a CRM-Software.
I'm looking for something do work with webservices and databases.

If perhaps suddenly anyone wants to know more, he/she can reach me with mail.

For some answers regarding my questions above here in the board, I would be very happy.

    Regards,
    Peter

Hi Peter, thanks for joining. Hope you'll keep us as one of your tech links

Regarding information on an apartment I'd recommend you visit http://www.jafind.com.

There are private Internet connections available. For links to the local ISPs, visit http://www.techjamaica.com/index.php?id=5#97

I'm not sure about the VW Vanagons. It may go by a different name here, but there is a VW dealership in Jamaica - http://www.prestige.com.jm/

Hope this info is of help.

Hi Chris and certainly the others,

    thanks for the informative links.
It seems C&W is the most favorite ISP with DSL ;-)
And it's little bit faster than the one I'm using here.

Appartments seems to be ok with the prices.
Well, here the average income would be of interest ;-)

    Volkswagen Vanagons?
Well here's my CrewCab one with me on the in:

haaaa Deutschland. I have always wanted to live and work in Germany. It’s a country with a resource of technical expertise, from Engineering to Medical technology. Some discipline and serious folks too.

My question is, why leave there to come here?
