    Question Gaming on LCD monitors.

Does anyone here game on LCD monitors?

    If you do:

    1. What type of monitor do you have?
    2. What types of games have you played?
    3. Is the experience any different from playing on a standard CRT?
    4. Do you have a problem with ghosting.

    I you don't:

    1. What are your views on the subject?

I have a CRT at home and most of my gaming is done on CRT monitors but I have played games on friends LCD monitors

I say that the problem of ghosting is almost doesn't exist anymore from my experience and should not be a problem if you have a newer model LCD

look the main diffrence right now is refresh rates when u use v sync

crt produce a smoother experience and bette frame rate

but plz remember the optimal frame rate is 85hz for gaming anything higher is a plus

so u want liquid smooth frame rates newer lcds are becoming impressive and its about time!!!!!

but for now if u have a 19" or like me a 21" and have refreshes over 100hz lcds are kinda unwanted..... with refresh rates and resolutions so low

Why 19" and not 20.1"? The ViewSonic VX2025WM has a better rating than all the 19" I've seen so far.

The ViewSonic VX922 seems decent but it has some probs.

I heard the pixel pitch of 0.294 gives the screen a graft sheet effect. Also, DVD playback isn't so wonderful and it has a problem displaying grays. According to Cnet it's a very good gaming LCD, but that's about it. My only gripe with the VX2025wm is that the colors are a bit washed out compared to other LCDs as seen here. From what I read it can be tweaked, somewhat.
