    Yes, the one I had was black and white only though, I use Adobe Indesign at work for that stuff now, Its main purpose is for Desktop publishing but since it can export to pdf format I use it for that too.

    CutePDF Writer - similar print driver option. Yes its free.

    Im pretty sure adobe acrobat can create them. The later versions that is.
    Msword or photoshop can do it as well

    yeah, i just read that adobe acrobat professional and adobe acrobat standard can convert docs to .pdf but they cost > US$400...i'll try one of the free ones later.

    but what are the advantages of .pdf again...say on the web?

    I know that when doing graphics exporting to pdf retains most of the image quality for print, especially if using another computer with limited capabilities.

    PDF being as most if not all computer users are exposed to it so it makes documents more user friendly :wink:
