Default How to remove quarrantined viruses.

I have 4 viruses on my system. They are:
    Trojan horse BackDoor.Prorat.2.BC
    Worm/VB.CC
    Trojan horse Dropper.Small.11.B
    Worm/VB.CE

My antivirus software that i am using is AVG and its up to date but its unable to heal these viruses so it quarrantine them. And so i want to know if there is any way of removing these viruses safely after they have been quarrantined by AVG. Are there any virus utility programs that i can used? please tell me what should i do. Are these viruses dangerous to my system. Can i just delete them and everything will be alright? Suppose i format the hardrive will they be safely destroy or heal and wont affect any of my hardware.

Could someone please give me a little description about these viruses please.

haven't used avg in a while but i believe every program that has quarantine allows you to delete the quarantined files. search through the options to delete files in quarantine.
symantec.com should be able to give you more info on those particular viruses (virii)
by the way, i would recommend bitdefender or zonealarm suite 6 over avg.

    hope i answered your questions

Go to the AVG control Centre. Select the Virus Vault and click the button that says "Empty Vault".

Heal what?? Once the virus is in quarantine, it cannot damage your system in any way. Deleting them will purge your system of this incidence of the virus, but there is no reason to unless you need the space.

You only heal something you are going to keep, not something you are going to get rid of.

You can try downloading Avast Antivirus, its a good one, has built in firewall, scans email and alot more stuff. Here is the link That is what I use.

If the infected file is quarantined it is safe to delete them and remove the programs if any that they are associated with manually if avg can't do it. From here on you need to monitor your system to see if it's performance is on the decline. Trojans have a way of doing that. Try bitdefender, i think it is better than AVG.
