i also tried the vista customization pack but didn't notice any increase resource usage buti think it should be expected for memory usage to increase with every os release whether the amount of increase is justifiable is a different question but i'm patiently waiting for long.. i mean vista.

Do you guys have anything else to report about Vista?

Is it a big improvement over XP?

i read that same article the other day and gathered from it that if i build a highend system now then i'll not have to worry about anything later other than i would have to run it in 32 bit mode unless i get 2 gigs of memory if if wanted to switch to 64 bit. then i saw something about a new monitor connection that without it i will not be able to play high defintion videos in vista (no hd-dvd, no wmv-hd), what do you people think about the requirements and would you do a major upgrade or purchase now?

i would wait at least a year (2007) until i seriously consider going 64 bit. by then hopefully hardware, software for vista would be fully tried, tested, and DISCOUNTED!(we all know how expensive and buggy technology can be when it just comes out) if not, i'll hold on to 32 bit as long as i can.............
