Browser wars!!

I just downloaded and installed Mozilla Firebird 0.61. Not bad so far.

Out of curiousity I did a bandwidth test at http://www.bandwidthplace.com and Mozilla Firebird is giving me better downstream speeds than IE! I ran the tests repeatedly one after the other.

I still don't like how Mozilla handles the insertion of smilies and long URLs in pages :-\

Netscape 7.1 for its may features including tabs, popup suppression, mail & newgroups all in your browser window - no need for a full task bar. Mozilla is similar to netscape in terms of its backend so I'll stick to netscape!

IE is the slowest out there and the most clunky before smart explorer. Opera is superfaaaassst!!!

Netscape till them screw up again but fianlly their strongest browser yet!

I voted Opera and currently use it. However after reading reading the posts I will have to check out Mozilla, especially since I don't have to worry about popups.

Things I like about Opera are:
Resumption to previous pages when ever Opera crashes or more often Microsoft crashes
All Opera windows are recorded in one window on taskbar
Blocking popups
Google search sitting on toolbar

To me opera is by far one of the better browsers, It has alot of cool feature, and once you gt the full version, without the Ad at the top it's alot better.

Hhmm :-\ I'm currently still using Mozilla....which I love. I'm gonna give the firebird a try though.

Are their any Netscape Users out there? What are your experiences?

I think if there were any netscape users they'd be running the 4 series netscape... most netscape user IMHO migrated to mozilla when AOL took over and ran the browser into the dirt :'(
