Battlefield 2 Tips

Hey everyone, I just got my hands on Battlefield 2...a HUGE improvement over ALL previous ones...weapons, vehicles, overall game play MUCH improved.

Now my favourate guy to use in any war FPS game is a sniper...but for the life of me I cant figure it out, I know they try to make it as real as possible but if I have a guy dead center in my scope why the hell is it shooting 2 feet away? Now i have to resort to torso shots rather than head shots...ahh well its no Counter Strike.

So my question to the Battlefield 2ers whats your favourate unit type one whats your stratergy...dont worry i promise not to use it against you

I hear that with the sniper there's a little bullet drop so u might have to aim slighly above where u're used to. Wouldn't know.. I don't play that class.


In terms of favourite unit my own varies depending on the map and what the squad I'm in requires. I usually spawn as assault to help with the up front fighting, however if the squad doesn't have 2 medics I'll be the second or if w'ere spending extensive time in the field and we have AT I'll go support to rearm them. I'll also go AT if we have a bunch of vehicles around.

Recently tho, I've been playing engineer a lot because I tend to be in charge of the Attack Helo squad on the Tactical Gamer servers (http://www.tacticalgamer.com) where I play. So my gunner and I provide Close Air Support for another squad we're directly linked with called C-Team. I talk to C-Team's designated Air Support Liasion via TeamSpeak to relay target coordinates and attack vectors but I use in-game VOIP to communicate directly with my gunner.

If we run into trouble and we're far from an helipad I just land and repair the chopper myself

Cool, well for now im playing the single player, I should be getting my ADSL soon. I getting to like the special forces more now...the C4 the have comes in pretty handy when your out numbered and your position is about to be over run, just plant a bunch around the flag and hide...
