INSTRUCTOR, DATABASE TECHNOLOGY
DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:
· The incumbent is responsible to instruct students in area of specialization and develop in the students a level of proficiency and flexibility that will enable them to succeed in the industry; as well as evaluate students’ performance and maintain records.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
· Master’s Degree in Computer Studies or Management Information Systems or equivalent qualification.
· Mastery of Microsoft (e.g. Access, SQL, Visual Basic) and Open Source (e.g. MySql, Oracle, Infomix) programming languages, C, C++, Java, Database applications, systems development and administration
· Two (2) years related industry experience in the relevant field
· Teaching experience desirable
KEY COMPETENCIES;
· Conduct training
· Organize and conduct training assessment
· Participate in curriculum development
· Maintain automated record-keeping systems and databases
· Use appropriate technologies and programming languages
· Keep abreast of industry trends, modern technologies and methodologies
