Anybody ever experience this before?
I poped a DVD into my DVD Drive, but it wouldn't play in PowerDVD. I removed the disk and the DVD Drive disapeared from My Computer. ( I seen that happen on other computers b4 - nothing to worry about - so I thought).
I then proceeded to burn an image of SUSE (Linux) from the C:/ drive unto a CD using NERO 6. Worked fine. Removes the CD, Shut down the PC and went away. Came back and turned it back on - and it Blue Screened! Try to restart in safe mode - Blue Screen! Removed the DVD Drive and Still Blue Screen. Removes the CD Drive as well and well - you get the picture. Poped in the windows xp CD and tried to reinstall (recovery console didn't help one bit) - my only options were to format the partition (C:/ - my 60 Gb WD has 4 partitions) in NTFS and FAT32.
Formated (quick at first ) to NTFS (C:/ showed as unrecognised file format) started setting up, installing devices, then - you guesed it- BLUE SCREEN! Formatted again (full - NTFS) and an exact repeat!
Now I have lost all my files from C:/ including some mp3's (Silk riddim, footsteps etc).
Set up SUSE just to see, and it runs perfectly.
I am sticking with Linux.
