Cut down large branches of tree
Remove objects that can be used as projectiles from the yard
Check windows and doors for signs of weakness...basically do general repairs
Store water
Stock up with batteries and get a portable radio
Keep cell phones charged.
Be prepared to turn off your power supply if anything...so be fmailiar with the switches.
Store flammable fluids in a dry and secure place!

You can also get one of those car adapters that have a/c outlets...I remember people making a killing off those after Ivan

They mentioned on the news earlier that if a Hurricane was to come to Jamaica now it would be worse than Ivan.

Yup....climate is a bit off because of global warming, ocean migration due to the tsunami....plus the earth wabbling on it's axis since the earthquake....so all sorts of things out of sync!

Watching the Hirrican Alert here now and it is projected to have the same number of hurricames as last year.

We are already in a storm and the frogs are out in their colors.
