    Default Anyone recognize where this phone number originated?

    My landline rang while I was in the shower, so I couldn't answer it. When I checked the Caller Id later, the number I saw was 002423224652. I thought the 242 at the beginning represented Area Code 242 (Bahamas), but I don't know anyone in the Bahamas. Can anyone suggest where the call might have originated?

    Probably some scammer trying to lighten your bank account. If it's important they'll call back or leave a voicemail.

    242 is the country code for Congo...you know anyone there?

    Or perhaps Coventry in England? Their code is 24.

    I would let them call back. Never redial a foreign number. If them have credit fi call you one time them must have credit fi call back.

    I agree with Chris, probably a scam. I remember receiving multiple calls from similar strange numbers and they only allow the phone to ring once.
    I suspect with the hope you call them back, and if you do you get slammed with big charges on your phone bill.

    * All for FREE!

    FREE TEXTING TO US OR CANADA
    * Unlimited SMS & MMS to any US or Canada number
    * Create and receive group chats with any friend - even if they don't have the app
    * Send & receive pics, GIFs or other media

    CALL ANYONE - ANYWHERE
