Default Auto update contacts with area code?

With the new area code coming into effect we are required to dial the area code before every number. I am curious what app are you using to automatically add the 876 prefix to all your local contacts on your android phone?

I'm using an app called MyFinger. It goes through each contact and adds 876 automatically then saves them. It's not very fast, maybe they can fix that in the next update, so I just do a few contacts a day.

I used an app called "Add Country Code" from the Google Play Store. It identified all contacts with 7 digit numbers and allowed me to add what ever prefix I wanted eg "+1-876".

I also use this app and it gets the job done.
Can also restore if there is an issue.

One issue though, doesn't seem to have support yet for Android 8 and above.

Gives an error regarding backing up and you can't proceed unless you do a backup first

It was probably OCD or preference but even when I was living in JA, I always saved my numbers as +1876- format....

This app works wonders and hardly makes any mistakes. But I kinda like automation.

This works. It costs $1.10 or something like that. Great if you have thousands of contacts like myself.

I did this at one point, but back before we got 876 as our country code (was 809 back then) I honestly never thought we'd either get a new one, or get an additional one. Now that it's a necessity some apps will make things easier. Imagine going through 4,000+ contacts to change from 809 to 876 and then now to add 658..........
Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".
