Default Want to upgrade stock Dell Optiplex 755 SFF

    So here's the deal folks.

I have a stock Dell Optiplex 755 SFF with a C2D processor (Socket 775 mobo). My research online tells me that I can upgrade my CPU up to a C2Q Q9650, however I want to get either a Q6700 or Q9550 (leaning toward the Q9550). My question is: will I need to upgrade my power supply and/or my cpu cooling fan, and if so, what do you recommend, bearing in mind the size of my case and that i want to keep my expense for all components under US$60 if possible (used/refurbished ebay prices)?

    Thanks for the help.

With a SFF chassis I'm not sure a standard power supply will fit. I think some Dell SFF use a weird elongated power supply so you have to rig it.

They have some pictures there of one of the SFF. It is a weird PSU as Chris stated.
Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".
