You example code is correct, so what you're getting is very weird.
I'm trying to start learning PHP, but the first tutorial, "Hello World" is already giving errors.
Should give me a page with the words "Hello World" only, instead it also gives the charactersCode:<html> <head> <title>PHP Test</title> </head> <body> <?php echo '<p>Hello World</p>'; ?> </body> </html>
What am I doing wrong?'; ?>

Personal pcs are the best to test on. - no Internet required. If you can find the php.ini files you can then compare the one you have on your server with the one on your pc. Or just reinstall.
