    Default PlayStation 3 Hard Drives

Have a ps3 console from a short while back but the hard drive went bad. How much is it for a new hard drive and the best deal in Kingston/St. Andrew? Stores only. I don't want a second hand one or from some guy in an alley and end up getting a shady deal. Strictly legit. Please assist, asap

I think any computer store that sells harddrives will have a 2.5-inch SATA HDD. The system will formate it once you put the new one in - i think. http://www.techradar.com/how-to/gami...-drive-1285911

I believe it will format the drive once you put it in as well. Not sure if it supports over a certain size though, so you may have to just get something within the range it supports. For example - I don't think it supports 2TB drives.
Knowing the solution doesn't mean knowing the method. Yet answering correctly and regurgitation are considered "learning" and "knowledge".

PS3s do support 2TB drives. That's the limit I think since larger capacities tend to be physically larger and won't fit into the drive bay. I don't remember what dimensions the drive has to be but I'd look into that before buying anything.
