I dont mind the wait. I'll be taking time to choose all the parts I need, then upgrade fully later in the year. plenty reviews and options available by that time.

That is true. Most of the bugs will be sorted out buy that time and revisions to boards and processors will allow for better performance overall.
AMD Phenom II X4 960T Zosma @ 4GHz | Thermalright Ultima 90 CPU cooler | GIGBABYTE GA-MA790X-UD4P | Sapphire 6950 unlocked | 6Gb Gskill RAM | 1.5TB total HD | Dell U2412M IPS Monitor | Zalman 750W PSU | LENOVO SL500
I'll try to get an 1800x when price is better for that. No more quad core CPUs finally. Intel will try their foolishness again but I doubt it will work so well. internet is much larger than it used to be and there are more sources to buy from than OEMs. Can't tell newegg/amazon et all to only sell intel processors.

Review for the Ryzen 7. Keeping an eye on the 7700K as if price drop in the $200 range I 'll finally be getting an I7 CPU. But if Ryzen prices stay at prices they should go for and that memory speed issue is fixed soon then I'll consider finally going over the red team:
Current Android - OnePlus 7T Pro
PC Specs - Motherboard: Asus PRIME B560-PLUS | Processor: Intel Core i5-11600K (stock) | Memory: 32 gigs Corsair Vengeance DDR4@3200mhz | Video Card: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4070 (OC Edition) | Monitor: ASUS TUF Gaming 27" 2K Monitor | Steam ID -> Powpow
Go Red Team.
I am liking it so far.
The Ryzen seems fairly stable.
No reports of blue screen. Various tests have being running.
This is most important test, because Ryzen has more advance features, by far, that the previous AMD FX, and even the current Intel.
I would like to see some more tests:
Dev benchmarks
-Android Studio - Android emulation. (This emulator takes long to load for development purposes)
-Microsoft Visual Studio - Hyper V - Android Emulator
-Compile/Build times for different compilers
-Scene creation times in Autocad
-World creation times in Unreal 4/Unity 3d.
-and so on
Older benchmarks
-Super Pi up to 1 Gigabyte or so precision
Benches using a high-end PCI Express 512GB SSD
A few benches with old games, 6 years+
I am wondering what's happening in the gaming tests.
Is there some optimization to be done on the software side? New instruction set to be called, or not being utilized?
It also sounds like it has a memory bottleneck glitch, with the operating bus frequency. I do not know.
I did notice that the motherboards that come out only have dual channel DDR4.
http://www.gigabyte.us/Motherboard/G...NG-5-rev-10#kf
I also remember reading that Zen architecture supports up to quad channel DDR4. But maybe Ryzen is only dual channel to keep down the TDP and costs. I do not know. I am no expert. If Ryzen gets beat in more game test, then at least it still has its low tdp, and lower cost. Plus it does stand out int Cinibench tests.
It being priced that competitive literally means more bang for your buck. Team Red style.
Let's act on what we agree on now, and argue later on what we don't.

What memory speed issue?

There have been reported issues using high frequency RAM. Should be fixed with bios updates
