Important question. Is blogging dead, Jamaica, USA, etc. Corve Dacosta, my blogging guru and a few ties my mentor said blogging is dead in Jamaica and no one blogs anymore. What do you think? Should i buy into his negativity or continuing to follow his lead and blog again? I have the ideas. Ask everyone you know as I am doing. Then send the answers my way.

technically yes, but no. Not sure if it will bounce back unless social media dies. Social media is making it harder. I saw it fitting to write a whole article on my blog about it, lol.

traditional blogging is dead in certain areas i think but when it comes on to tech or blogs geared towards teaching/educating a specific topic those are still relevant

Blogging has always been dead in the Jamaican context. The few Jamaicans that read blogs already have their established go-to (American) sites for topics that interest them. Jamaica is social media country. Jamaicans get their news media coverage from shared Facebook posts provided by friends, or from Gleaner and Observers websites.

This is especially true for the fashion, modeling and entertainment niches, with the exception of Instagram being the go-to source.

Blogging only works in Jamaica if you have already have a social following as a jump start
