I Just sold my 2011 MBP (which i maxed out with 16gb ram and 2 SSDs) because i needed a hardware upgrade (for around 600$) and none of apples offerings used met that criteria. Now i have a windows laptop which supports 32gb RAM 2 Sata connections and a PCIe based connection for ssds 2x usb3.0 1xusb 2.0 and 1xusb3.1 (type-c). All of this under 500$ now what is apple doing with their life?

I really dont know why they even removed the sd card slot either. MANY photographers and videographers use MBPs and need this. but no, they will have to buy an adapter (which is one more thing to remember on productions). I have no idea which direction they are going but i wish they had made a macbook for regular users and keep the Pro series with pro users in mind.

Simple. Business. They figured why not do the same as when they launched the iphone. While everyone was killing themselves over replaceable battery, Apple did it the sneaky way. Innovative with the new MBP and USB-C ports though.

If anyone should get a Mac. they might as well get a fully optioned out system from jump. thats the only way it would make sense. Well given funds not being a great factor. lol

they say the newest fully speced out mac is like 10g. if you are spending that kinda money you better be looking to keep that computer for a long long time. like 10 years. most people I have see with macs only keep them 3 to 5 years.

The base model starts at $5k... that's not bad... either way if the cost was $100k you already know the Apple sheeple would still buy them like hot bread.

True, I would buy one - if I had the money and no bills to pay. Its probably buttery smooth to use.
