Yeah the media is like that but the concern is valid re the resolution in docked mode. If they used the newer Nvidia chip i don't expect them run it at full power when in handheld mode. I would expect them to hit their thermal and power targets with down clocking and still have a good enough visuals for hand held mode. However when docked I would expect the chip to ramp up appropriately for 1080p. They would not even need to go max clocks for this. But who knows really why they did not use it. Probably the same reason they did not go AMD this time around because up until a year ago even AMD thought they had won the contract.
It will be interesting to know what lead them to choose Nvidia over AMD in the future and also what is the cost breakdown of the system.
