Default Something I noticed with AMD cards

So as is AMD does more on hardware while Nvidia does it on the the software side.

    Example:

AMD VSR and Nvidia DSR. Same things but AMD does it on hardware and Nvidia does software.

When recording video with gpu AMD is more hardware while Nvidia uses more software.

Downside to this for AMD is that the AMD GPU uses way more energy than usual.

For example AMD quotes a tdp of 250w max. When gaming only sure the gpu will hit that tdp max. But gaming and using VSR results in higher tdp and power consumption. Or gaming while recording does the samething.

For me I like it. My GPU can do all the work. Others might prefer the Nvidia approach of doing some tasks on the cpu.

This has been the approach for Nvdia for some time and they have successfully marketed this strength but I feel it is something AMD can catch up on esp now that they have kinda shielded the graphics division the CPU division. Another Area where Nvidia has an advantage on the hardware level power draw. It may be even less of a case in the DX12 era but it is still there.

Dx 12 makes AMD cards use more power, because it makes the card use hardware resources that weren't being used before.

They will use more power but it will be more efficiently used as they will not have to throw more hardware due to software deficiency in DX11.
